Seminar in Electronic Commerce
Spring 1998
Wednesdays 12:30 to 1:30
Building 200, Room 305
Overview
Many pundits have predicted that the Internet will radically alter the
way business is conducted. Before this can happen, there are a number of
technical and organizational issues to be resolved. This seminar explores
some of the mechanisms and infrastructure required to support electronic
commerce, as well as traditional and novel approaches to structuring financial
interactions on-line.
There are no pre-requisites. Some understanding of security issues
will be useful. A brief overview/review will be given at the first meeting.
